Calling all Creator Musicians — meeting on November 5th between services in the sanctuary!
Advent is coming quickly with Christmas shortly behind! We want to bring together you all in order to enhance and enrich our worship with your voices and instruments and hear from you what you are interested and able to add to our congregational song!
Where we are: we have settled into a rhythm of Nicole Harris accompanying the congregation three weeks a month and Jessica Andersen accompanying one Sunday a month. We have added 1 cantor to the 1st service and Dean, Phil and Ron practice with Nicole most Thursday afternoons and support Sunday singing most Sundays. They could use help and a break!
On November 5th will we be discussing:
- Thanksgiving Eve Worship
- Advent Holden Evening Prayer (we have the pianist but need to discuss practice and who will be interested/available to sing.)
- Supporting Sunday Morning Singing (rotation of people, practice together or at home)
- Special Music for Advent and Christmas
a) a choir (who would be interested in leading, what to sing, how often and when to practice)
b) other special music duets, solos, instruments, etc. - Song selection for each season — schedule/ format
We look forward to gathering to tend our congregational song and the talents that God has given each of you.
