Care Ministries

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Psalm 147:3

The Care Ministries of Creator Lutheran Church promote the health and well-
being of body, mind, and spirit. The Ministries exist for the members of CLC and
the wider community, striving to empower and equip all Christians to
compassionately care for others, following the example of Jesus.

Whether you need pastoral care, prayer for a life challenge, a friend to support
you during a difficult time, or help coping with anxiety, Creator Lutheran Church and its members are here for you.

Pastoral Care

Walking with you as you experience life’s joys and challenges is one of the great
privileges of a pastoral care team. We visit people daily in the hospital or
wherever the spiritual care, prayer, and presence of the church is needed.
Hospitals do not notify churches when their members are admitted so if you or a
loved one are hospitalized, please complete a Connection Card on Sunday
morning or contact the church office.

Pastoral Conversation and Prayer

Pastor Amanda is available for pastoral visits by request. Contact the
Creator office at 253-862-7700 or pastoramanda@creatorlutheran.net.

Nursing and Homebound Visits

Our Pastor and Care Team make monthly visits to those who are homebound
and to nursing home residents, providing Holy Communion and devotional
time. If you become aware of a homebound member who is not receiving
regular visitation, contact pastoramanda@creatorlutheran.net.

Hospital Visitation

Our pastor and Care Team maintains regular contact with the hospitalized
and the recuperating. Visits are made to local hospitals, and hospice
locations Monday through Thursday and other times as necessary. If you
know of a member or friend of Creator Lutheran who enters the hospital
through emergency services, please contact pastoramanda@creatorlutheran.net.

Emergencies

In times of emergency, please call the church office Monday through Friday,
10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at (253) 862-7700. For evening, weekend, and holiday
emergencies, our pastor is on-call at (253)470-6924.

Creator Prayer Ministry

You are invited to submit a prayer request.

Your request will be received by our prayer ministry group who will hold you and
your request in prayer. If you give permission, your prayer will be added to our
weekly worship prayers and our prayer requests shared in worship service
announcements. Submit your request here.

Daily prayer is an intentional and meaningful way to strengthen and nurture our
personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is our daily conversation with God.
Through prayer, both individually and as a faith community, we open ourselves to
the guidance, wisdom, and power of the Holy Spirit. Prayers also bring comfort
during life’s challenges and gratitude for blessings received.

Final Sunday of the Month after worship a Creator Cares Member is available for
prayer in the sanctuary. — currently inactive due to Covid-19.

Creator Cares Card Ministry

Cards are sent out to members and community experiencing times of grief or
