Douglas joined Creator on October 1, 2015. Previously, he served as a King County law enforcement officer for 23 years, ten years as a technical writer for The Boeing Company and several years as a part-time self-employed paralegal. He is a life-long Lutheran who attends Trinity Lutheran Church in Parkland where he serves on the church council. He grew up in Spokane, but moved to Tigard, OR with his family where he completed his senior year in high school. He graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with a History degree and obtained a master’s degree in Public Administration from Seattle University. He belongs to the Sons of Norway and is a member of the Scandinavian Cultural Center where he serves as a docent. He enjoys singing with the Normanna Male Chorus and the Cascade Foothills Chorale in Enumclaw. He also teaches English as a Second Language (ESL) weekly to students in Sumner. Free time is spent in volunteering, home improvement, reading and monitoring public policy developments.
Terri Heckroth has been Director of Youth Ministries since July, 1999. Terri and Andy are parents to Tod, Ryan, Robbi and Rachel and Grandparents to Matthew, Lana, Carter, Quinn, Vitani, Marinella, Brytzana , and Charlie. Terri enjoys reading, traveling and playing with the grandkids.
Danielle Lemieux serves as Director of Music Ministry. Prior to joining us here Danielle comes from 12 years as Director of Music Ministries & Youth at St. Marks Lutheran in Tacoma. She has extensive experience in directing choirs, and is accomplished in voice, piano and French horn. She received her Bachelor's degree in Music Education from the University of Puget Sound (Tacoma) and a Master's Degree in French Horn Performance from New England Conservatory of Music (Boston). She was a Fulbright Scholar to Norway in 2001-2002, focused on French Horn performance and studying Norwegian-composed music (both for her instrument and in general, folk music of Norway). She is thrilled to be serving at Creator Lutheran.
