Creator Returns to Regular Worship Schedule

On Sunday, September 17, Creator's Sunday worship hours will return to 8:30 am and 11:00 am. The early service will be a traditional liturgical Lutheran service with more traditional music. The later service will have some traditional music, but will also incorporate contemporary and world music. Communion is served at all Sunday worship services.

On September 17, Creator will also resume it's Sunday education hour, with two offerings. We would like to invite ALL to join us in Creator Family Sunday School.  All ages are welcome!  Parents, Grandparents, and siblings will eat breakfast together, hear a Bible Story, wonder and discuss the story, and learn some new music—all together!  Service projects will also be a big part of our time together.

Adult Education Resumes in September

The Lord's Prayer in Perspective - Then and Now:  presented by The Reverend Doctor Douglas Oakman (PLU).  As the 500th anniversary date of the Reformation approaches on October 31, 2017, it is appropriate to rethink the meaning and significance of the Lutheran tradition for our complex times. These adult sessions focus on the Prayer of Jesus or the Lord’s Prayer—as an anchor amidst confusion and as a beacon of hope in our Christian lives.

  • The Prayer of Jesus in an agrarian world (the Lord’s Prayer in original context)

  • The Lord’s Prayer in modern context and Christian Worship

Family Sunday School

Creator Lutheran is trying something new on Sunday mornings!  This new approach to learning and exploring God’s Kingdom comes from a desire to

·        Equip families to carry out Christian practices at home

·        Combine Christian Education with Mission and Service

·        Incorporate Faith formation into the Worship Service

·        Facilitate multigenerational discussion and wonderment about Bible Stories and God’s message for us today.

For these reasons, we would like to invite ALL to join us in Creator Family Sunday School.  All ages are welcome!  Parents, Grandparents, and siblings will eat breakfast together, hear a Bible Story, wonder and discuss the story, and learn some new music—all together!  Service projects will also be a big part of our time together.

Hike and Picnic

September 17  12:15pm-5:00pm

God’s creation is Amazing!   Let’s appreciate the beauty of this world by spending time in the great outdoors.  Join us for a picnic and hike on Tiger Mountain.  Meet here at the church at 11am on Saturday, September 17th.  We’ll drive to the trail head of Swamp Trail on Tiger Mountain, just west of Snoqualmie Pass.  We will fuel our bodies with a picnic lunch and then hike.  Bring a light weight day pack that you are comfortable carrying, a sack lunch, water bottle, and dress in layers.  Friends are always welcome.  You will need to sign up on the bulletin board outside the youth room so we can arrange for enough drivers.  For students in Kindergarten and Preschool, we ask that parents accompany your little ones.  We should return to the church by about 5pm.  All youth need to have a medical release form filled out and returned before (or at the start of) the event.  For more information, call Terri Heckroth 253-312-7219.
