Youth and Family

The mission of Creator’s Youth and Family Ministry team is to bring God’s Children closer to their Heavenly Father. Through discussion of the word and sharing of fellowship we hope to deepen our children’s faith and develop a life-long relationship with Christ.

Our youth ministry deliberately guides young people into Christian discipleship by:

  • Involving youth and their families in a safe and Christian community,
  • Encouraging them to live spiritually rich, God-centered lives,
  • And preparing them to impact their world for Christ.

Welcome Home, Missionary Rachel!

~~The ELCA Youth Gathering for high school-age youth takes place every three years and is about faith formation, worship, study, fellowship, service and play.

It is an opportunity for youth to engage with peers from across the United States and the world who share a common commitment and faith in Christ. The next Gathering will be held July 15-19, 2015, in Detroit, Michigan.

High School Youth from Creator are planning on attending this gathering.  Are you in 9th-12th grade and interested in going to Detroit this summer?  If so, please attend the next planning meeting Wednesday, January 28 from 6:00pm-7:00pm.  Cost for the trip is $1,300 per person, and fundraising opportunities are available.  In fact, we will spending most of our time on January 28 planning the Valentine Dinner.

What is the ALYVE Board?

ALYVE.JPG~~What is the ALYVE Board?
The ALYVE (Associated Lutheran Youth in Various Endeavors) board is a group of Sr. High students representing 91 churches all around the Southwest Washington Synod.  They come together in a common mission to bring the youth of our area closer to God and to each other.  Each Lutheran church in the SWWA synod is encouraged to send one or two students to the annual ALYVE board Convocation where officers are elected and projects are planned.  These young board members work hard and give countless hours to serving the larger church.
