Palms for Palm Sunday

Palm Sunday

Prepare the Way of the Lord, Hosanna!

You are invited to swing by church on your way to an errand in the coming days to pick up palm branches for your families. They are laid out in the entrance of the church waiting for you.

If you are not able to come by to pick up a palm, you can either make one out of paper — trace your hands, cut them out and tape them together, find another type of branch or a coat even. For Jesus’ triumphant entry the ground was covered with branches and cloaks after all.

If you are able you are invited to take a picture of your family with your palm branches, home creations or just yourselves and send them to pastoramanda@creatorlutheran.net by Friday. We are hoping to include them into our remote worship together.

On Palm Sunday those of you who are watching via Facebook live are invited to put a picture of yourselves in the dialogue feed and those zooming in can hold theirs up on the camera (if you turn it on!)

While the way we process and are together will be different this year, we can still rejoice: “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” Hosanna
